2. No Legal or Engineering Advice
While our team includes Registered Architects, Professional Engineers, and industry experts, SLK Buildings does not provide legal advice or act as the final signatory for engineering drawings and architectural designs, unless explicitly stated in writing. All advice is for informational and consulting purposes only.
3. Accuracy of Information
We make every effort to provide up-to-date and accurate information. However, NYC building codes, zoning resolutions, and agency requirements change frequently. SLK Buildings is not responsible for errors or omissions on this website or within downloadable content.
4. Payment Terms
All services are subject to the terms outlined in our written proposals or contracts. Unless otherwise specified:
- Payments are due upon receipt of invoice
- The first payment is non-refundable
- Late payments may incur fees or service delays
We reserve the right to withhold submission of filings or final deliverables until full payment is received.
5. Third-Party Agencies
SLK Buildings acts as an independent consultant and is not affiliated with any NYC government agency. We assist clients in working with NYC agencies such as DOB, HPD, DOT, DEP, BSA, etc., but final approvals and timelines are at the discretion of the respective agencies.
6. Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, and downloadable materials, is the property of SLK Buildings and may not be reproduced or distributed without written permission.
7. Confidentiality
We maintain strict confidentiality with client information. Documents, plans, and communication shared with SLK Buildings are never disclosed to third parties without explicit consent, unless required by law or for filing purposes.
8. Limitation of Liability
SLK Buildings shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from delays, agency rejections, or site conditions beyond our control. Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for our services.
